Mihika is a filmmaker whose work is recognized globally. Notably, her work won the American Pavilion’s Emerging Filmmaker Showcase Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

 

By leading with curiosity while crafting images, she lends a tenderness to storytelling across media.

 

With a degree in Advertising from Jai Hind College in Mumbai, India, she began her film education at Mindscreen Film Institute in Chennai, India.

 

After gaining experience in the Indian film industry working on web series and commercial as assistant cinematographer to DP Athit Naik, she expanded her skills with a Master’s in Film Production with an emphasis in Cinematography at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University in 2021, under the guidance of Johnny E. Jensen, ASC.

 

Holding an O1-B visa, she now resides in Los Angeles, working as a cinematographer, assistant cinematographer, and camera operator.
